Day 8: Praying for Repentant Hearts in School Leaders
The leaders in the education system need their hearts softened by the Holy Spirit so that they can bear fruit for the Kingdom of God. Hearts need to be renewed with the revelation of the nature and love of God. We return our love to Him because He is compassionate, gracious, abounding in love, and slow to anger. This starts with a revelation of God's goodness and school leaders turning their hearts to the Lord in humility.
"Break up your fallow ground for it is time to seek the Lord till He comes and rains righteousness on you."
"Blessed are the poor in spirit (painfully aware of our need for God), for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven."
"Then the Lord became jealous for his land and had pity on his people. The Lord answered . . . Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things!"
PERSONAL (From David Fritch Ministries 10 Day Revival Prayer Guide)
Cry out to God today. Ask Him to release the plow over your heart. Ask the Holy Spirit to begin to soften the hard ground of your heart and invite Him to show you areas of your life that have been out of alignment with Him. Write down anything He shows you and spend time repenting and asking for more grace. Ask Him how to pray specifically for leaders in our education system.
Thank God for the staff members and students in our schools. Ask Holy Spirit to soften the hearts of the leaders in the education system and pray for the fire of the first love for Jesus to become first place in their hearts. Pray for students to start prayer groups and boldly and humbly preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in their school.
Ask Abba Father to give wisdom to Christian teachers and staff members to be bold in their faith in their workplace. Pray for a hunger for righteousness to come upon men and women working in the education system in this land. Pray for the light and hope of Jesus to go forth into every school and for believers to arise and shine with the Glory of God.
Repent for the Kingdom of Heaven is near!
Repentance always comes before revival.
Bring repentance and revival to schools Lord!
In His Grace,
