Day 4: Praying for the Revelation of Jesus in Families
Updated: Nov 17, 2019
Our heavenly Father delights in revealing Himself to His creation. He does this innumerable ways. He desires relationship with His creation. Part of our role in that glorious relationship is to tell Him what He tells us to tell Him. That is the simplest definition of intercession. It always starts with Him.
Let's ask Him to release the revelation of Jesus Christ and His mercy to families. The Holy Spirit delights in revealing the Son to His creation. Here are some references to monumental moments of revelation in the Scriptures:
Paul walked by faith confident in his identity in Christ and calling by Christ, because of the revelation from Christ (Galatians 1:11-12).
Peter declared to Jesus, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the Living God" and Jesus affirmed that the Father in heaven revealed that truth to Peter (Matthew 16:15-17).
Paul wrote to the Ephesians, "I keep asking that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the glorious Father, may give you the Spirit of wisdom and revelation , that you may know him better" (1:17).
The angel said to Daniel, "Do not be afraid, Daniel. Since the first day that you set your mind to gain understanding and to humble yourself before you God, your words were heard, and I have come in response to them" (Daniel 10:12).
