Day 15: Praying for Repentant Hearts in Churches

PREMISE
The leaders in the Church constantly need their hearts softened by the Holy Spirit so that they can bear fruit for the Kingdom of God. Hearts need to be renewed with the revelation of the nature and love of God. We return our love to Him because He is compassionate, gracious, abounding in love, and slow to anger. This starts with Church leaders turning their hearts to the Lord in humility.
PROMISES
"If my people who are called by my Name will humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land."
"Break up your fallow ground for it is time to seek the Lord till He comes and rains righteousness on you."
"Blessed are the poor in spirit (painfully aware of our need for God), for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven."
"Then the Lord became jealous for his land and had pity on his people. The Lord answered . . . Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice, for the Lord has done great things!"

PERSONAL (From David Fritch Ministries 10 Day Revival Prayer Guide)
Cry out to God today. Ask Him to release the plow over your heart. Ask the Holy Spirit to begin to soften the hard ground of your heart and invite Him to show you areas of your life that have been out of alignment with Him. Write down anything He shows you and spend time repenting and asking for more grace.
Ask Yourself:
Is my heart fully alive to God?
Am I hungry for more of God?
Am I thirsty for more of God?
Is there anything that has dulled my hunger or thirst for more of God?
Is my love for God burning and growing?
Ask the Lord, "what is keeping me from being fully alive and in love with you? Write down what He shows you and spend time repenting."
